Magnetic Materials - Specification Table

Please note that the table below gives only one set of figures for each material. These are based on the performance of the most commonly used grades. However, each type of material has a range of grades available. Further performance figures for these grades can be provided on request.

Key:
(BH) Max - Indicates the highest energy obtained when material is working in its optimum environment.

Coercive Force - This is the amount of 'reverse' energy required to cancel out the magnetism of an energised magnet.

Remanence, Br - This figure represents the flux value present in a 'perfect' closed magnetic circuit once the material has been energised.

Temperature coefficient, Br - Shows the reversible loss of performance (in percentage figures) for each increase in temperature of 1°C above a start point of 20°C.
